Bars

Sadly Chiswick has few bars open later than midnight, and barely anywhere to dance the early hours away since the closure of Vodka Revolution (and its fly-by-night successor, 18-20). So it’s cocktails and an early night for us W4 dwellers – or a trip to one of Chiswick’s lovely local pubs.

Although there are no dedicated cocktail bars, we do have a range of really decent brasseries and restaurants with cocktail bars attached. The most famous are High Road Brasserie with its stunning Deco interior, Sam’s Brasserie, and Charlotte’s.

The reviews you will see in this section are probably for restaurants with notably good bars attached. Watch this space for reviews.

Vindinista Wine Bar, Acton

If you visit one new wine bar in West London this year, Vindinista is the one. It’s a true independent (run by local wine expert Paola Tich) with a warm, intimate atmosphere.

Vinoteca, Devonshire Road

Vinoteca, Devonshire Road

Vinoteca is a buzzing, cosy wine bar in the heart of Chiswick’s “indie quarter”, the lovely Devonshire Road. If you enjoy exploring wines from around the world, or if you are looking for a chic grown-up wine bar to savour a long chat with friends over a decent bottle, then you won’t go wrong here.
